Activites at The Club

Mental stimulation through social interaction, games, quizzes and activities, and talks on unrelated topics many of which have opportunities for learning and/or reminiscence

Appropriate gentle physical exercise and relaxation; information about ways of accessing help or resources through talks, Q&A and individual support from speakers from a range of statutory and third sector support agencies;

 

Social interaction, development of friendships and sharing of experiences with other members; fun and enjoyment through entertainers including singers, comedians and theatre groups, all of which encourages interaction and participation;

 

General therapeutic activities including singing, arts and crafts, theatre workshops, Qi gong, percussion; specific health related activities including regular blood pressure testing, talks on nutrition, fire and personal safety etc.

 

Trips out to places of interest including the Life After Stroke Centre at Bromsgrove, ten pin bowling, botanical gardens and pub lunches; social interaction, development of friendships and sharing of experiences with other members – most of all it is about finding companionship and friendship with other people who understand what life is like after a stroke.
